Gregorgez stood, frustrated. Lit by hololith displays, he gazed down at an projected overview of Viourant, the moon languidly turning on its slanted axis, cities, temples and other areas of note highlighted with tiny data labels. Green light reflected off the Inquisitorial Rosette chained around his neck.

‘Show me Hive Primus.’

The servitor adjutant whirred and clunked as it fed the command into the cogitator, the hololiothic image spinning rapidly before concentrating in on a render of an Imperial Hive City. The city was not of the typical single-spired variety typically found on planets like Necromunda and Armageddon—this one was spread out further, comprised of agri-ports and space elevators to support Viourant's colossal exports.

‘Status.’ Gregorgez's eyes remained fixed on the hololith. From the shadows, a cloaked Technicae stepped forward, servo skulls drifting lazily it his orbit.

‘The city remains under siege by Separatist factions and Arlucallus Venusai. Two Ordo warbands on the ground maintaining deep cover, investigating leads. Strike team on standby. No situation updates from teams.’

The Inquisitor tightened a bruised fist. The situation of Viourant made no sense. His reconnaissance expeditions had found no evidence to why the civil war had broken out, despite the obvious leads pointing towards iconoclastic or Xenos influence. The longer the war persisted, the greater the risk of famine in the wider system. While many Inquisitors would not worry themselves by such a fact, Gregorgez still maintained a spark of empathy towards the Imperium’s subjects.

Working through his proxies and trusted retinues was not yielding results, however.

He glanced down to a small black fist icon stamped onto one of his rings. It wasn’t to come to that yet. Instead, he turned to the chamber, to the dozens of waiting, flickering eyes and sensors awaiting, adjusting accordingly to his every micro-movement.

A beat. ‘Prepare my shuttle.’

Hailing from the Segmentum Tempestus, Inquisitor Saldar Gregorgez is a puritan of the Ordo Malleus. Their specialism is in large scale cult detection, suppression and extermination. Due to his near-spotless track record in his field, he is often deployed to investigate and counter later-stage uprisings, often calling on support from local Imperial forces to achieve his objectives.  

As an established Inquisitor, he has accumulated a sizable retinue transported aboard the Inquisitorial Cruiser Absolution of Doubt. The Inquisitor will work by sending out independent reconnaissance warbands to collect information. After intensive surveyance and study of the task ahead, and if the situation calls for it, the Inquisitor will then converge with full forces—including armour, if need be.

Of particular note is a detachment of gene-bred Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, requisitioned and maintained from the Watch Fortress of [REDACTED]. These troopers are cloned from the modified [REDACTED]—a stable, chaos resistant bloodline. This detachment is deployed in two main roles; the first as bodyguards and operatives to support the Inquisitor and detached warbands; the second is to act as a hammer to mercilessly eliminate the Inquisitor's targets.
